Do You Know My Jesus?

These five words started this journey. We never thought that such a simple idea would have come so far and from the most unlikely place, the words of a song and our daily lives surrounded by kids. Children have an uncanny way of boiling the truth down into the simplest of terms. Children don’t worry about much, they are trusting, honest, incredibly brave, and resilient. Maybe that’s why Jesus said, in Matthew 18:3 that unless we become like litte children we won’t enter the kingdom of heaven.

Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ~Matthew 18:3 NIV

Jesus wants us to trust him in childlike faith, rely on His strength, and to call on Him for help in all of life’s circumstances. You should know that this doesn’t mean that God is going to shield us from all life’s difficulties, because some troubles are meant to shape us, to build our “faith & praise muscles” and allow us to have “unspeakable joy” in any circumstance, knowing that our heavenly father “…causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to HIs purpose for them.”

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. ~ Romans 8:28 NIV

Hi, I’m Theresa and this is Brenita!

Brenita and I understand how hard it is to be “joyful in every circumstance“. There’s the craziness that goes on behind closed doors and sadness that can so easily keep us down if we don’t stay connected to the one who gives us “peace and joy”. We look around and there are just some people that seem to be so resilient in the worst of circumstances, it’s like they have this “unspeakable joy”, and it draws you to them like a magnet. It leaves you wondering… how can they be so joyful?
