Hi, I’m Theresa and this is Brenita

Brenita and I live over 800 miles apart, and much of our communication these days revolves around our daily lives, our grown children, and our grandbabies. Growing up was hard, our parents loved us and we knew that, but our parents grew apart, and we grew up separated from each other. As children we were taught to “trust in Jesus” and remarkably we continued to rely on Him often even though our lives took many twists and turns. Knowing Jesus loved us and was looking out for us helped us keep a good outlook even when times were tough. It allowed us to have “unspeakable joy” in the dark times and kept the light shining in the dark valleys.

We stay connected by staying connected with people who share that “spark of unspeakable joy and peace”. It is more about knowing who holds you in the palm of His hand and spending time with the one who has watched over you all your life; first as children, then as parents, and now as aging adults. Now as we come into another season of life, we know the importance of leaving a “good inheritance” to our children. Some people think this means “stuff” or “money”, but I’d challenge that and say it’s the gift of knowing “who to rely on” and “who gives you joy overflowing”.

If you are reading this right now, you might never have known this type of joy, but it’s available to you, and we’d like to share our stories over a cup of coffee or tea, while your children or grandchildren listen to our tales of “love overflowing”…and hum along to the song “Do You Know My Jesus?”
